Cookies and IP Addresses

We do not and cannot use cookies or IP address tracking to retrieve personal information from your computer. Our site places a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer.

Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual's hard disk for record keeping purposes. Our site uses cookies during your online session to deliver content specific to your interests. Cookies allow us to avoid showing you the same ad or other message repeatedly. Our cookies do not contain personal information. They do enable BWTC to relate your use of the site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided to our site.

Most browsers can be set to reject all cookies. Most browsers offer assistance and instructions on how to reset the browser to reject cookies in the "HELP" section of the toolbar. If you reject our cookie, certain of the functions and services of the BWTC Site may not work properly.

All computers and servers on the Internet use IP addresses to recognize and communicate with each other. Collecting IP addresses allows us to administer and analyze our site and report non-personal information (such as how many visitors we have) to sponsors and/or content providers. When you open a page from Dr. Julie Miller's site on your computer, BWTC's servers enter the IP address of that computer into a log. To maintain our users' anonymity, BWTC does not associate IP addresses with records containing personal information.

BWTC assumes no responsibility or liability for these independent methods or actions and is not responsible for the independent policies or procedures of destination sites.
