Dr. Julie Miller, founder and president of Business Writing That Counts!, is a business writing expert, author, speaker, and trainer. Over the past thirty years, Dr. Miller and her team of certified business-writing trainers have helped more than 750,000 professionals achieve their personal and professional goals by reducing writing time while increasing productivity.

Her national best-selling book, Business Writing That Counts!—sold in over ten countries— and now in its sixth printing, details a numbering system that she and her certified writing trainers have taught to over three-quarters of a million people. Dr. Miller serves on two boards at the University of Southern California and is a member of the Bellevue, Washington Rotary. She was awarded the Women Business Owners (WBO) Excellence Award, the Helen Thayer, Woman of the Year Award, and been voted Volunteer of the Year twice for her work with the YMCA.
She currently serves as Trustee chair for Cascadia College, and as a board President for the Bellevue Arts Museum. Additionally, she sits on two advisory boards: City University's Entrepreneurship program, and Collective Changes: Economic Empowerment and Leadership Mentoring Program for Women.
She has recently penned a new book, Secrets of Self-Starters: 48 Amazing Stories to Ignite the Self-Starter in YOU! that profiles self-starters all across the country.
Dr. Miller earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Seattle University and undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California.
Though her team of certified writing trainers and coaches live around the country, Dr. Miller calls Seattle, Washington her home.
